Due to water scarcity in almost all areas, water must be pumped from available sources to required locations within a 20 km range — using minimum power of 1 to 10 HP single-phase electric connections.

Most agriculture power connections allotted by government are 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP and 10 HP only. Using this limited power, we design special high-pressure motors to pump over long distances.

We have specially designed high-pressure submersible motors across all power ranges from 1 HP to 70 HP — selected to suit particular pipe lines based on head and discharge requirements.

What We Do

We survey your complete pipeline area — measuring total head from source to end point with a Digital Altitude Meter for exact measurement. After the field study, we provide a rough project quotation.

Civil work (trench digging, pipe laying, backfilling) is handled by the customer. We provide the complete design, co-ordinate all work schedules and supervise installation.

ISI-Grade PVC Pipes

Original ISI-grade PVC pipes rated at 4 kg/cm² and 6 kg/cm² pressure are essential — never use second-quality re-extruded pipes for long-distance lines. GI and HDPE pipes used where crossing rivers, channels or rocky terrain.

Air relief valves for long distance water pipelines

Air Valves

Air bubbles trapped in pipelines create friction, reducing flow by up to 10% and causing pipe burst from water hammering when the motor stops. High-quality 2-inch air relief valves placed at regular intervals release trapped air and protect the entire pipeline.

Non return valves for water pipeline systems

Non Return Valves (NRV)

Prevents return water hammering — critical for protecting motors and pipes when flow reverses on shutdown. Ball-type NRVs recommended for up to 100 mm diameter pipes; Wafer-type valves for above 250 mm diameter lines. Correct placement is essential for full performance.

Pressure Release Valve

Excessive pressure build-up from water hammering can damage pipes and fittings. Thumba's 2-inch stainless steel spring-fixed aluminium-body pressure release valve lets you set ratings from 1 to 10 kg/cm² — matched to your pipeline's operating pressure.
