Rain guns for engine runs pump sets

Rain guns for engine runs pump sets

Normally cheap and best method of Rain gun irrigation is runs by electric power only. But in case electric power not available means you can use diesel or kerosene engine operated small pumps to cover 75 to 100 feet radius. Due to mechanical power the efficiency is less than electric operation. So you must try from below 30 feet depth water sources like ground level water pond, tanks or 30 feet open wells for pumping the water. Here you can get minimum of 2.5 to 3 kg/cm2 pressure in rain guns.

For engine operated system you must select mini sprinklers in multiple nos or basic model rain gun as single piece to get better irrigation and uniform wetting. For 3.5 hp kerosene engine you can connect 20 nos of mini sprinklers or 50 nos of micro sprinklers or only one no of mini rain gun with 60 feet radius coverage.

When compared to electric power total operating cost is more. But in remote areas this is the only option for temporary sprinkling irrigation for one or two time during drought seasons to save the crop from failure by water shortage.

Rain guns for tractor PTO runs pump sets.

For large field from 30 to 50 acre without electric power means you can select this tractor PTO mounted pump operated Rain gun system to cover maximum area with single or two rain guns. Here the power of pump set is more than 30 hp and discharge will be 1000 LPM with 4 kg/cm2 pressure.

Here big rain guns with 2.5 inches (Mariner) or 2 inches x 2 nos of Tublex rain guns are used for covering minimum of 1.5 acre at a time. The time for irrigation may be 1.5 to 3 hours in one spot based on soil conditions and summer humidity conditions.

Main advantage of this unit is larger area coverage and temporary summer drought management. But it needs Ground level Water Pond or Canal or Rivers as water source. Open well or bore well pumping not possible. So plain land rain gun irrigation with ground level water source is the only suitable places for this irrigation method implementation.

Technical Specifications:
1. Power - HP : Above 30 HP Tractors
2. Discharge Maximum : 1100 LPM .
3. Pressure maximum : 5 kg/cm2 @ (Tractor RPM 1600 | PTO RPM 540 | Pump RPM 3000)
4. Head range : 35 to 50 meters
5. No of 1.25 inch Rain gun runs : 6 nos with each 120 feet diameter
6. No of 1.5 inch Raingun runs : 4 nos with each 150 feet diameter
7. No of 2 inch Raingun runs : 2 nos with each 180 feet diameter
8. No of 2.5 inch Raingun runs : 1 no with each 300 feet diameter
9. Time to wet 3 inches depth : 1.25 hours
