Yes. The pump uses a specially designed U-type or helical impeller that handles semi-solids up to 50 mm diameter — including hay, straw fibres and thick dung slurry — without jamming. Solid materials never contact the impeller directly, which eliminates the most common failure mode of ordinary pumps on dairy farms.
Up to 1000 feet (300 metres) at 20 feet elevation through 2–2.5 inch PVC or HDPE pipe. It pumps directly to a biogas plant, compost pit or field irrigation channel without needing a separate transfer pump.
The pump outlet is 2 inch. Use 2 inch or 2.5 inch PVC or HDPE pipe for the discharge line. For runs above 500 feet, 2.5 inch pipe is recommended to reduce friction loss.
