Waste water management is one of the most challenging tasks in dairy farming — it consumes significant labour and time. Thumba's submersible sewage mud pump is purpose-built for this application. It handles semi-solids from 35 to 65 mm and pumps slurry up to 1200 feet — directly to biogas plants, compost pits or field irrigation. Available in a 1 HP single-phase (220 V) model and a 5 HP three-phase (415 V) model.
Using our specially designed impeller, semi-solids from 35 to 65 mm and fibre particles pump out without jamming. Solid materials never contact the impeller directly — eliminating the most common cause of pump failure on dairy farms.

For large dairy farms with higher volumes of slurry and longer pipeline runs, we offer a 5 HP heavy-duty sewage mud pump. Handles higher discharge rates and larger solid particles over greater distances. Suitable for farms with 100+ animals or biogas plants located far from the shed.
Thumba dairy sewage mud pump prices start from ₹15,000 for the standard 1HP model. Final price depends on accessories and delivery location. Call us on +91 98433 35703 or WhatsApp for current pricing.
Yes. The pump uses a specially designed U-type or helical impeller that handles semi-solids from 35 to 65 mm — including hay, straw fibres and thick dung slurry — without jamming. Solid materials never contact the impeller directly, which eliminates the most common failure mode of ordinary pumps on dairy farms.
Up to 1200 feet (365 metres) at 20 feet elevation through 2–2.5 inch PVC or HDPE pipe. It pumps directly to a biogas plant, compost pit or field irrigation channel without needing a separate transfer pump.
The 1 HP pump outlet is 2 inch — use 2 inch PVC or Canaflex pipe up to the top of the collection tank, then 2.5 inch pipe up to 1000 feet to reduce friction loss. The 5 HP model uses a 4 inch main pipeline so that its higher discharge (above 60,000 LPH) and 65 mm solids flow easily.
A dung cleaning pump is a high-pressure washer — it uses a powerful water jet to wash the shed floor and animals. A sewage mud pump is a submersible transfer pump that collects the resulting slurry and waste water and pumps it away to a biogas plant or compost pit. Both are used together for complete dairy waste management.
Yes. The motor is protected against dry run, overheating and impeller lock. The oil-immersed carborundum seal gives long service life in abrasive slurry. If the pump runs dry or the impeller jams, the built-in protection cuts power to prevent motor burnout.
